UV Protection
Guards your collectible from light-induced fading, helping colours and artwork stay vivid for years.
GameGuard boxes help protect your collectibles from fading and ageing caused by sunlight and strong indoor lighting.
Even indirect light can slowly weaken inks, soften colours, and age paper or cardboard over time—especially in older packaging.
Our UV protection levels depend on the acrylic thickness and material used:
- 3 mm cast acrylic, used by most acrylic box manufacturers and for our Small and Very Small sizes, reduces around 30–40% of UVA and a similar portion of UVB.
- 4.5 mm cast acrylic, our standard for Standard and Large Outpost, Outpost Kit, and Château boxes, reduces around 48–58% of UVA and a similar level of UVB.
- 6 mm cast acrylic, used for Very Large and Huge Outpost and Outpost Kit boxes, blocks well over 60% of UVA and a strong proportion of UVB due to its increased density.
- The FORTRESS range uses a specialised UV-protective acrylic that blocks up to 99% of UVA and up to 95% of UVB. This premium material offers the strongest protection, though at a much higher cost.
UVA causes slow, deep fading, while UVB creates faster, surface-level damage.
By reducing both types, GameGuard boxes help maintain colour vibrancy, artwork clarity, and overall condition for significantly longer—especially valuable for collectibles displayed near windows, in bright rooms, or under strong lighting.
Physical Protection
Thick, rigid acrylic shielding that preserves structure, corners, and condition against everyday impact.
Every GameGuard box is built with thick, rigid cast acrylic chosen for strength and clarity.
Standard sizes use 4.5 mm acrylic, and larger boxes use 6 mm for extra support and durability.
This solid construction protects your collectible from knocks, falls, and pressure that could bend corners or crush fragile packaging.
The weight and stiffness of the acrylic also help the box stay stable on shelves or in display cabinets.
It’s a practical layer of protection for collectors who want peace of mind while still displaying their items proudly.
Environmental Protection
Built-in vents help manage VOC off-gassing and moisture balance. Add the SANCTUARY SEAL for enhanced air stabilisation and absorption.
Every GameGuard box includes discreet built-in vents designed to support the long-term health of your collectible.
These vents allow natural VOC off-gassing from older paper, cardboard, inks, and plastics, while helping moisture inside the box stabilise over time. This reduces the risk of warping, trapped odours, or slow chemical changes that can affect condition.
For collectors wanting a more controlled environment, the optional SANCTUARY SEAL replaces the vents and uses a custom zeolite–charcoal module to actively stabilise air quality.
It absorbs moisture, VOC gases, and small airborne compounds, creating a cleaner and more consistent interior atmosphere.
This dual system lets you choose the level of protection that best suits your climate, your item, and your preservation goals.
Premium Cast Acrylic
Premium cast acrylic with no additives for a crystal-clear view, easily refreshed with Novus polish and MR.SIGA microfibre cloths.
GameGuard boxes are made from premium cast acrylic with no dyes, tints, or chemical fillers, giving you a naturally clear, glass-like view of your collectible.
Light surface marks and scratches can be wiped away easily using Novus liquid polish and MR.SIGA microfibre cloths, helping the box stay clean and display-ready.
The acrylic is chosen for its optical quality, offering sharp, distortion-free visibility from every angle.
Its smooth surface and high clarity make it ideal for showcasing fine artwork, crisp colours, and detailed packaging without haze or colour shift.
Because it’s both stable and easy to maintain, your box will continue to look fresh and premium even after years of display and handling.
Customisation

Precision inserts and premium bolts secure fixed lids, while sliding lids lock seamlessly with no visible hardware—no accidental lid movement with either design.
GameGuard boxes are engineered so your collectible stays protected and stable during handling, storage, and display.
For fixed-lid models, precision heat-set inserts paired with premium titanium-plated bolts hold the lid firmly in place, preventing slips, gaps, or accidental opening.
For sliding-lid models, the lid glides smoothly into position and locks in place seamlessly with no visible hardware.
This design keeps the exterior clean and elegant while ensuring the lid stays put—so there are no loose or flying lids when you move or lift your box.
Both systems are crafted for reliability, ease of use, and long-term durability, giving collectors confidence that their display remains secure no matter how often they rearrange, carry, or show off their collection.
