Every GameGuard box is cut, assembled, and tested in-house, using archival-grade materials and the same obsessive attention to detail we apply to our own collections. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is “good enough.”

Our Story

GameGuard began in 2024 as a project within Acrylic Alchemy, born from a shared frustration among collectors, especially PC game collectors.

After years spent hunting down rare big-box titles and restoring worn packaging, we wanted a way to protect them properly. The options were disappointing. Cheap, poorly fitting acrylic boxes. Prohibitively expensive imports. Cases that simply did not meet true archival standards.

So we decided to make our own.

What started as a solution for our personal collection quickly became a larger mission. To create protective cases worthy of the games and memories they hold.

We spent countless hours experimenting with acrylic formulations, adhesives, lid designs, and preservation techniques. We tested what worked, discarded what did not, and refined everything in between. The goal was always the same. Clarity, strength, and longevity without compromise.

In 2025, we introduced GameGuard to the Australian PC game collecting community. Not with a hard launch, but with free test boxes and a request for honest, real-world feedback. It was not marketing. It was collaboration.

The response exceeded anything we expected. Collectors praised the craftsmanship, precision, and fit. Many of those early testers became our first loyal customers.

From day one, all production has remained in-house, giving us complete control over quality, experimentation, and innovation. Every design change, every prototype, and every improvement still happens under the same roof, driven by the same obsession that started it all.

Today, GameGuard continues to evolve within Acrylic Alchemy. New materials, machines, and techniques allow us to push the limits of what a display case can be.
